U.S. President Donald Trump revealed that while he will probably wait until after the Israeli elections to release his long-awaited peace plan for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, sections of its political dimension may be rolled out.
White House Senior Advisor Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, is the main architect of the proposed peace initiative, that includes a previously unveiled 50-billion-dollar economic development plan for the Palestinians, Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon.
The Palestinian Authority has nevertheless continued to reject any American involvement; accusing the Trump Administration of favoring Israel following its recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of the Jewish State.
