United States President Donald Trump called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last night, during which the two leaders discussed the rise of anti-Semitism, as well as the growing threats posed by the Islamic Republic of Iran. Netanyahu took the opportunity to thank Trump for the warm hospitality during the Israeli leader’s visit to Washington and expressed Jerusalem’s appreciation over the President’s firm condemnation of anti-Semitism in the speech he gave to Congress last week.
The two leaders also discussed at length the dangers deriving from the nuclear agreement with Iran, which was reached in July of 2015 with world powers, including: The United States under the Obama Administration, Russia, China, France, Britain plus Germany. They also discussed the ongoing Iranian aggression in the region, and the need to work together in order to deal with these ‘growing threats’.
