Tow Israelis were killed and five others injured – including children – in a deadly Palestinian car-ramming attack in Jerusalem earlier today.

Israeli soldiers shot a Palestinian who tried to stab them in the West Bank south of the southern city of Hebron on Thursday, said the military. Palestinian officials confirmed the death of the 24-year-old man.

In Jerusalem early this afternoon, a Palestinian terrorist deliberately slammed his vehicle into Israeli civilians waiting at a bus stop in the Golda Meir–Minch intersection, just outside of the neighborhood of Ramot.
An off-duty police officer who witnessed the incident immediately opened fire and eliminated the terrorist.
Emergency medical services confirmed that a six-year-old boy was one of two victims who succumbed to their injuries upon impact. Five others were hurt, including an eight-year-old child and a man his late 20s in critical condition.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was continuously updated on the details of the Jerusalem terror attack, ordered the reinforcement of all security units in the area. He also instructed the defense establishment to take immediate action to seal and demolish the terrorist’s home, and investigate whether other suspects were involved.
President Isaac Herzog released a statement saying, “Just before Shabbat, our hearts are pained by the terrible news of a despicable terrorist who took the lives of a little boy and a young man in a car-ramming attack in Jerusalem. Together with the People of Israel I grieve with the families and pray for the recovery of the injured.”
