A Palestinian teenager in the West Bank city of Hebron raised suspicions of an Israeli Border Police force near the Cave of the Patriarchs. The 17-year-old girl drew a knife upon being approached, and tried to stab one of the officers. One Border Police source told TV7 that the assailant was overcome without the use of lethal measures and transferred to the Israeli Shin Bet Security Agency for interrogation. An official spokesperson released a statement emphasizing that the “The Border-Police will continue its efforts to thwart acts of terror in the Cave of the Patriarchs, in order to assure the security of visitors and worshippers alike.”
