Palestinian Islamists have yet again fired a rocket last night from the Gaza Strip toward the southern communities of Israel. The rocket exploded in an open area in the Hof Ashkelon regional council, causing no injuries or damage. An Israeli defense official told TV7, that even though the suspected terrorists behind the rocket-fire are believed to be Palestinian jihadists affiliated to the Islamic State, Israel views the Hamas organization, which controls the Gaza Strip, as solely responsible for any attacks emanating from the Palestinian enclave, which endanger the safety of Israel’s citizens and violates its sovereignty. Sources in Gaza informed TV7 that Hamas has evacuated its military installations across the strip, out of fear of an Israeli retaliation, after the IDF said it maintains the right to respond to the Palestinian aggression at a time and place of its choosing.
