The Israeli leader met with the ISA senior command forum, where he was provided with a wide-ranging intelligence and operational briefing on ISA operations in all sectors.
Particular focus of the discussion was on the continuance of “aggressive counter-terrorism activity in the Samaria district, said an Israeli governmental statement.
As part of Operation Waves Breaker, IDF, Israel Security Agency (ISA, Shin Bet) and Border Police Special Units have conducted extensive raids in Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley over the past year to root out Palestinian assailants.
“We will meet murderous terrorism with an iron fist. We will know how to find them anywhere, anytime,” Netanyahu pledged, affirming that the ISA, IDF and the security forces would continue to operate wherever terrorist attacks have originated.
Prime Minister Netanyahu and ISA Director Bar also visited the Menashe Brigade Outpost 105 overlooking the Judea and Samaria sector, where they were briefed on the separation fence.
Upon conclusion of the inspection, the Israeli Premier said he was “deeply impressed by the technology, the personnel, the methods and mainly by the operations that thwart hundreds of terrorist attacks and save the lives of many citizens of the State of Israel.”
He also expressed deep appreciation and thanks for the important work by the nation’s security forces to safeguard the people of Israel.
Israeli National Security Advisor Tzachi Hanegbi also participated in the visit, as well as the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff Tzachi Braverman and Military Secretary Maj. Gen. Avi Gil.
