Early this morning (13.12.16), Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu embarked on a diplomatic and economic visit to Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan with a declared goal of strengthening bilateral relations with important countries in the Islamic world.
Upon leaving, the Israeli leader stressed that in complete contrast to what is claimed from time to time, Israel does not suffer from diplomatic isolation… on the contrary, Israel is courted by many countries around the world and its relations are flourishing in an unprecedented manner. “In complete contrast to what is heard from time to time, not only is Israel not suffering from diplomatic isolation, Israel is a country that is courted. These countries want very much to strengthen ties with Israel and following the strengthening of our relations with the major powers of Asia, with countries in Africa and with countries in Latin America, now come ties with important countries in the Islamic world. This is part of a clear policy of going out to the world. Israel’s relations are flourishing in an unprecedented manner,” Netanyahu said.
This will be the first time an Israeli Prime Minister visits Kazakhstan and a second time an Israeli Prime Minister visits Azerbaijan, historic visits that are as part of what Netanyahu defined as the “continuity in Israel’s policy” that advance important breakthroughs for Israel’s international relations.
