This week at TV7 Israel, we filmed two episodes of Jerusalem Studio which delved into the closely related topics of Iran’s nuclear program and Iran’s efforts to subvert its neighbors and dominate the region through terrorism, intimidation, geo-political manipulation and blackmail.
“This week we happened to have to very informative segments, because the panelists on both programs are very well informed and equipped with original insights,” said TV7 Editor-at-large Amir Oren.
Our first program covers the topic of “Pending resumption of Iran nuclear talks in Vienna,” featuring regular guest panelists Dr. Olli Heinonen, the former Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and a Distinguished Fellow of the Stimson Center in Washington, D.C., as well as Meir Javedanfar, who is a lecturer on Iran at IDC Herzliya.
The second program covers the topic of “Iran’s Shadow War with Israel and the West” and features we are hearing from retired General Mark Kimmet, who has a lot of experience in the US Army, the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Departments of Defense and State, with very strong opinions on the role of Turkey as a NATO member vis a vis Russia. Also appearing on the program is another regular guest, Brigadier General (Res.) Yossi Kuperwasser – Project Director on Middle East Developments, Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs (JCPA) think tank.
Also, this week we filmed an episode of Jerusalem Prays with very special guest Kathrin Larsen, the Director for Europe and Israel of Moms in Prayer (MIP), an organization active in over 100 countries around the world with the mission of covering every child and every school in prayer. The Israeli branch is small but growing fast, and we wanted to have Kathrin to tell us about it.
“I see hope rising in these dark times, as Jesus, the Rock and Cornerstone reigns in all schools throughout Europe, Israel & worldwide,” she said during a recent MIP event. “With overflowing Hope, we go on in prayer, that our schools will be directed by biblical values and high moral standards.”
On the MIP Europe website, she builds on this introduction by posting an invitation to all mothers everywhere to join thegrowing movement.
“Is it in your heart to give your children spiritual support through prayer,” she asks, before declaring “then you are in good company with us! We are mothers who have committed to meet once a week to pray for our children and schools. Together, we can bring all our worries, our burdens and our concerns before our Heavenly Father. In prayer, we know that we are not alone with our burdens – and this gives us reassurance and hope.”
“You are welcome to join us so that we can stand with you in prayer for your children. I am confident that praying together will also strengthen your faith. We will be delighted to meet you!” she added.
At MIP events, Kathrin often tells the story of how she sent her daughter to kindergarten one day many years ago in a small village in her native Switzerland. Soon afterwards, she felt a profound need in her heart to cover her child and all the other children at the school in prayer. After discovering Moms in Prayer a short time later, she devoted herself to supporting the local branch and helping to build the larger community, eventually becoming the director of MIP for Europe and Israel. She recently acquired a new reason to pray when her first grandchild was born.
Her appearance on our “Jerusalem Prays” program included an invitation to all viewers to get in touch with Mom’s in Prayer, to join a chapter at their own child’s school or to start a new one.
