The manhunt for the terrorist responsible for the murder of Sergeant First Class Amit Ben Ygal is still ongoing.
The Commanding Officer of the IDF’s Menashe Regional Brigade, Colonel Yair Peli, voiced confidence that the operations to apprehend the terrorist will be successful; while emphasizing that the Israeli security establishment will continue to guarantee the safety of Israeli West Bank residents.
According to Colonel Peli, “The IDF, along with all other security forces, will continue operating around the clock in order to guarantee that the residents of this area and the whole region are safe. I would like to extend my condolences to the family (of SFC Amit) and to promise that we will do everything we can, and there is quite a bit we are able to do, in order to apprehend the terrorist.”
Separately, the condition of the Israeli soldier who sustained injuries in the car-ramming terror attack, adjacent to the West Bank settlement of Negohot yesterday, has reportedly deteriorated. Doctors were forced to amputate his leg, and he is now diagnosed in serious condition. Nevertheless, doctors informed the soldier’s family that he is stable.
