The terrorist who executed the car-ramming attack in Jerusalem was apprehended as the result of extensive operational and intelligence efforts by Israel’s Shin Bet Security Agency, the Israeli Police YAMAM Counterterrorism Unit with the cooperation of other special forces.
A suspect was identified as 25-year-old Sand Al-Turman, who is an Arab resident of East Jerusalem. The alleged assailant, who had committed no previous violations, wrote that he had “found the answers” shortly before deliberately ramming his car into a group of Golani Brigade soldiers.
The Police Spokesperson’s Unit informed TV7 that ‘the terrorist was transferred to the Shin Bet for further questioning.’
Two of the fourteen troops wounded in the attack remain hospitalized in conscious and stable condition.
