Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett made the remarks during his weekly Cabinet session while drawing attention to the reported brutal suppression of anti-government protests being waged throughout the Islamic Republic.

“This week we again saw, that instead of improving the lives of the Iranian people, the regime in Tehran chooses tyranny, terror and lies,” said the Israeli leader.
“Last week masses of Iranian people went out into the streets of Abadan and other places to demonstrate against the tyranny of the regime,” said Bennett, stressing that, “In response, Iranian forces shot at Iranian civilians.”
Pointing out that while “in many places in Iran at the moment it is difficult to acquire water and bread at a reasonable price,” the Israeli Premier went on to accuse the Ayatollah regime of “investing in terror” such as the recently showcased underground drone base rather than helping its own citizens.
“Iran has also been investing in lies such as its deliberate misleading of the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) in order to evade visits by the agency, as was revealed last week. The Iranian regime is based on tyranny, terror and lies,” he asserted.
Bennett continued by underscoring the critical importance for the international community to support the Iranian people who “stand up against the brutal regime,” which he said “carry out terrorism against Israel and the region via its proxies.”
Declaring that “for some reason the head of the octopus – Iran itself – has enjoyed immunity,” he emphasized that, “the era of immunity for the Iranian regime is over. Those who finance terrorists, those who arm terrorists, and those who send terrorists – will pay the full price.”
It is important to note that the violent crackdown on protests in Iran by Tehran’s revolutionary authorities has astoundingly been met with ‘deafening silence’ from world leaders.
In related developments as Iranian civilians are once again faced with violent methods of oppression, Israel’s National Security Council (NSC) Counter-Terrorism Bureau has issued a travel advisory warning its citizens against traveling to Turkey or any states bordering the Islamic Republic due to “Iranian efforts to attack Israeli targets around the world.”
