Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif announced his resignation, just one day after he laid-out Iran’s Foreign Policy in an address to the University of Tehran, in which he deemed multilateralism as a key element of his country’s success.
While Zarif refrained from naming the rationale behind his decision, he urged diplomats at the Iranian Foreign Minister not to follow in his footsteps – and voiced hope that they would successfully lead the ministry to “its legal place in foreign relations.”
