Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization warned world powers that if they would follow in the footsteps of the United States, the Islamic Republic will relaunch its nuclear program and enrich uranium at a higher level than it had previously. The nuclear agency further revealed that Iran has reached a “considerably more advanced status” than when it signed the deal, and is “moving ahead in nuclear activities at a favorable pace.” While Russia, China, France, Britain plus Germany vowed to keep honoring the 2015 nuclear agreement and have been actively seeking solution to answer Iran’s demands that it continue to experience the deal’s promised economic benefits, the Ayatollah regime has expressed increasing skepticism that those countries will be able to counter the negative effects from renewed U.S. economic sanctions. The main concern in Iran pertains to it’s the regime’s inability to halt a steep drop of the country’s currency, as it yet again fell to an all-time low yesterday, with moneychangers in Tehran offering 150,000 rials to the U.S. dollar – a 140 percent drop in the Iranian currency since Washington reimposed its economic sanctions against the Islamic Republic. Iran’s Foreign Ministry did not immediately respond to TV7’s request for comment.
