The Commander of the Israeli Air Force Major General Amikam Norkin was accompanied by his senior Commander’s Forum visited the IDF Northern Command for the purpose of strengthening the cooperation, at a time of rapidly-changing situation assessments and threats on Israel’s northern front.
During the tour, Commander of the Northern Command Major General Amir Baram provided a review on the operational concept for war.
The Commanders also inspected the Lebanese border, where they entered one of the Hezbollah-dug terror tunnels that had been uncovered and neutralized during Operation Northern Shield about a year ago.
According to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, the military leaders’ summit was vital amid escalating developments in the north that pose “a challenging security reality that requires a multidimensional combination of air and ground forces.”
