Hezbollah reportedly downed an Israeli unmanned aerial vehicle this morning, moments after it had penetrated Lebanon’s airspace. The Iranian-proxy group released a statement in which it claimed its forces had “confronted” an “Israeli drone” with “appropriate weapons” after it crossed the shared border and was heading toward the southern town of Ramieh.
The IDF confirmed to TV7 that an IDF drone did in fact “fall in Lebanese territory,” although went on to underscore there was “no concern” about any loss of “sensitive information” related to the crash. The army declined to either confirm or deny whether Hezbollah was responsible for bringing down the UAV.
