The German government is expected to outlaw Lebanon’s Iranian-backed Hezbollah from operating on national soil.
The German daily Der Spiegel reported that the decision could happen next week when cabinet ministers are scheduled to meet, citing sources in the German Foreign, Interior and Justice ministries.
If the decision is indeed implemented, authorities will be forced to treat Hezbollah as the Islamic State‘s equal, baring all activities and associations with Iranian-backed group, including waving of the organization’s flag.
