A rocket, which was fired from Syria, exploded this morning on the Israeli side of the border. No injuries or damage were reported. Israeli military sources told TV7 that the fire was not deliberately directed at the Jewish state, noting it was as part of raging battles between the Syrian government and rebels belonging to the Al-Qaeda linked Jabhat Fattah al-Sham, formerly known as the Nusra Front. Nevertheless, the military sources stressed that Israel perceives the Syrian government as solely responsible for any attacks emanating from Israel’s northern neighbor and that the IDF reserves the right to respond to any attacks that endanger the civilian population and sovereignty if the Jewish state.
