Egypt opens Gaza Strips border crossing for four days

Egyptian authorities have reportedly decided to open the Egyptian border crossing with the Gaza Strip for four days starting from today until Saturday, to allow residents of the Palestinian enclave to travel in both directions. In response to the decision, the Palestinian representative to the Arab League thanked Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi for what the Palestinian diplomat termed “his constant efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.” Egyptian authorities were not immediately available for comment.
