The IDF Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) informed TV7 that as of this morning, “it has been decided to restore the activity of Erez and Kerem Shalom Crossings” between Israel and Gaza.
The measures include re-extension of fishing zone off the Mediterranean coast of the Hamas-controlled enclave to 15 nautical miles.
COGAT highlighted in its statement to TV7 that while the latest decision to alleviate humanitarian conditions in the Islamist territory followed “a reassessment status,” the restoration of civil policy towards the Gaza Strip “is conditioned to the continuation of the security quiet and stability.”
Despite Jerusalem’s humanitarian overture toward the Jihadist hotbed, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit informed TV7 that Israeli fighter jets were immediately scrambled to down a Gaza-flown drone aircraft a little after 11 AM this morning after it was detected flying in a westward direction over the Mediterranean Sea.
