Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman is warning of the looming threat of escalation with Iran, if the Islamic Republic does not cease its aggressive actions against the Kingdom.
During an interview with the CBS “60 Minutes” program, Prince bin Salman said Riyadh considers the September 14 attacks on oil installations in his country “an act of war” by Iran. He also insisted that “if the world does not take a strong and firm action to deter Iran,” the situation may deteriorate to a point in which “oil prices will jump to unimaginably high numbers” never before seen in our lifetimes.
The Saudi Kingdom’s de facto ruler went on to stress that Riyadh continues to prefer a diplomatic rather than military response to Tehran’s malign policies.
