Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu signed an order today defining the Hamas affiliated “Al Aqsa” television channel as a terrorist organization. The Prime Minister made his decision pursuant to Israeli anti-terrorism legislation, And following recommendations by Israel’s Security Agency, Shin Bet, and the Defense Ministry national anti-economic terrorism unit. The recommendation was made after the Shin Ben uncovered that the Hamas used the “Al Aqsa” satellite channel to recruit militants to its ranks. Hamas did not immediately respond to TV7’s request for comment.
