A Palestinian assailant crashed his vehicle this morning into a bus stop at the entrance to the West Bank settlement of Ofra, in what the IDF said was a ‘nationalistically motivated ramming attack’. According to an Israeli medical team that arrived at the scene, a 20-years-old Israeli was killed in the suspected terror attack, while another 19-years-old teenager, who was lightly injured, was treated at the scene before taken to a Jerusalem hospital for further treatment.
“We got a call about a terror attack in the intersection of Ofra. We got to the scene after two minutes. We started to treat the injuries, and unfortunately we had to pronounce dead, and the other one was taken to the hospital to receive treatment,” said an Israeli Paramedic on Scene of the Attack
IDF forces that were stationed at the scene said the Palestinian man accelerated right before striking the two young men. The troops responded by apprehending the suspected terrorist, who crashed his vehicle into a tree behind the bus stop. The IDF informed TV7 that the 20-years-old man who was killed was an IDF soldier. They further noted that an investigation was launched into the incident and is still ongoing.
