Palestinian Islamists have resumed firing rockets from the Gaza Strip toward Israel’s southern communities. A rocket exploded in the southern Israeli city of Sderot, just moments after a rocket-alert-siren was sounded in the city. No injuries were reported in the incident.
A senior defense official told TV7 that the IDF reserves the right to react to any attacks against Israel, while stressing that it views the Islamist Hamas organization, which controls the Gaza Strip, as solely responsible for any attacks emanating from the Palestinian enclave. No terror organization has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
